If you want to move your child to Valley Primary Academy from their current school, you can do this via an in-year transfer. We welcome children to join us in-year from ages 4 to 11.

To do this, you can simply apply online via the Norfolk County Council website or download and post this paper form.

Please note: You should not withdraw your child from their current school before a place at Valley Primary Academy has been offered.

Transfer timelines

Replies to transfer requests will take up to 15 days. If your transfer is successful, your child will join us at the start of a new term. For example:

• Applications received between 5th July and the end of October, will start in Spring Term
• Applications received between 1st November and the end of February, will start in the Summer Term
• Applications received between 1st March the end of May, with start in the Autumn Term

Please note, that if your child has an Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan you should not complete an ‘in-year transfer’ application. You should discuss a change of schools with the member of staff who manages EHCPs for your school.
