At Valley Primary Academy, we provide a broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum designed to build pupils’ knowledge, develop key skills and inspire a love of learning.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across Unity Schools Partnership, our teachers carefully plan learning so that knowledge and skills build progressively as children move through the school.
Our curriculum maps provide families with an overview of the learning taking place in each class. They include the topics, subjects, key knowledge and learning experiences children will explore during each half term.

Supporting Learning at Home
We encourage families to talk to children about what they are learning at school. Asking them about their current topics, sharing books together, visiting the library or exploring their interests at home can all help children make connections, deepen their understanding and develop their curiosity.
